New!!!  Artist in Action at Lamar Arts  Arts Center and Gallery Open Studio 10 AM every Thursday

Dear Fellow Artists, Lamar Arts is always keen to ideas that will help our Arts Center and Gallery be noticed and appreciated.  We have a lovely gallery space and have rotating exhibits.  In conjunction with the ongoing members room exhibit we also want to feature fresh and varying local art in the gift shop. I recently visited Georgia Heritage of the Arts at Tallulah Gorge, it is a beautiful Gallery with artists and crafters demonstrating while guests browsed the many pieces of art work in the gallery.  My husband and I thought that was a great idea for the artists of Lamar Arts. Our gallery is presently open only on Friday and Saturday. To extend our open days artists are now meeting in an open studio atmosphere on Thursday beginning at 10 AM.  Come join the camaraderie of other artists while we work on our painting, clay work, wood carving, sewing or crocheting or whatever. Do some advertising for yourself and help out Lamar Arts at the same time. We are your Art Gallery.  Let’s show Barnesville who their artists are! Yours truly Sally Weber, artist/potter
